A Forever Pumpkin is a hand-thrown terracotta pumpkin crafted by our skilled potters at
Tire City Pottery. These pumpkins are designed for you to carve, sculpt, paint, and personalize just like a traditional Halloween pumpkin—but without the mess! Your Forever Pumpkin can be transformed into a luminary, ready to light up your home or porch for Halloween, and it won’t rot, so it can be used year after year. LED or standard candles are fine.
During the workshop, you’ll be given a partially dried terracotta pumpkin that’s ready for carving and sculpting. Your instructor will provide additional clay for sculpting, tools, underglaze (color), and their expertise. After you’re done creating, you’ll leave your pumpkin with us to be fired in our kiln at 2300°F. The course fee includes delivery of the pumpkin or shipping.
