Intalgio Printmaking: A Series of Manipulations
LIMITED
Thursday October 22, 2026 1:00pm - 2:50pm EDT
Limited Capacity seats available
I would like to offer a hands-on experimentation in Intaglio: Dry-Point Etching.

Using Twisted Scribes, Akua Inks, 4"x6" substrates (printmaking paper), attendees will create etchings with the scribes, T-Pins, and rocks to create expressive marks onto small sections of plexi-glass, CDs, and Tetra Pak pieces. They will use spray bottles with water to dampen the substrates, use prepared Registration Plates, and a small print press to pull at least one of each print type.

I would like to charge a fee, as the materials do cost $ to create... HOWEVER, I would also like to donate the 45 CDs that I purchased in hopes of this presentation being accepted. I will talk with my District Director about helping to cover the costs.

LIMITED
Friday October 23, 2026 4:00pm - 4:50pm EDT
Limited Capacity seats available
This session looks at the messy reality of elementary classroom management and shares real, field-tested strategies to quietly lower defenses, protect student dignity, and turn your classroom into a safe haven where students want to listen. We will walk through an outline that shows you how to project a calm baseline when a class goes chaotic, how to hit the emergency brake to fix a failing lesson in real time, and how to offer quick, low-stakes compromises that stop work refusal in its tracks. Ultimately, you'll leave with an actionable blueprint to reclaim your peace of mind and bring a predictable calm back to your day. (No fees)
